Released under the Intuition label in 1997, this work showcases Eckert's innovative approach to storytelling through sound.The album comprises two narrative suites, each approximately twenty-six minutes in length. The first suite, "Three Days In The Sun," chronicles a magical hitchhiking journey Eckert undertook in 1974, capturing the vastness of the Western landscape. The second suite, "Four Songs Lost In A Wall," offers a contrasting exploration of an urbane and charged interior landscape. Together, these compositions invite listeners to experience a full hour of immersive storytelling through music. "Three Days In The Sun" features Eckert on vocals, 10-string slide guitar, harmonica, organ, and pipe, accompanied by Jerry Granelli & UFB, with Christian Kögel and Kai Brückner on electric and acoustic guitars, Andreas Walter on bass, and Jerry Granelli on drums and percussion. "Four Songs Lost in a Wall" showcases Eckert's versatility with performances on voices, piano, organ, and baritone horn, joined by Jim Kassis on drums, Will Bernard on electric guitar, and Clark Suprynowicz on acoustic and electric bass.
